sustainability
Limpet Store values itself on being a planet, animal & ppl friendly brand in every way we can be. We are proud of how our clothing is made, and we want you to share that pride every time you buy from us!
Since our launch in 2017, we are committed to making changes to our brand & the way we make our clothing, no matter how small they are, in order to minimise our impact on the environment. YAY!
As a small, independent brand, we manufacture our clothing in smaller quantities. This means that when you buy a t-shirt or sweatshirt from us, you're helping to do your bit by not contributing to the wasteful 'fast fashion' industry, which is sadly detrimental to our lovely planet.
How are your clothing blanks made before you embroider them?
All of our clothing blanks are ethically sourced & manufactured responsibly under Fair Labour practices & a strict code of ethics.
We build close relationships with our suppliers in order to ensure that every element of our manufacturing remains fully sweatshop free and beneficial to all workers and their local communities!
What about the impact this manufacturing has on the environment?
During the production of our clothing, impacts on our wonderful environment are minimised through effective pollution prevention practices, waste reduction & natural resource conservation.
All materials used in the manufacturing process do not contain any substances that are harmful to humans, animals or the environment. Being kind to animals & the world is very important to Limpet.
What recent changes have you made to be more eco friendly?
We have recently swapped to 100% recyclable white mailing bags that are made entirely from cane sugar. Our mail bags are carbon neutral too– the carbon dioxide taken from the atmosphere in the growing process, offsets the carbon dioxide emitted through production and transport :)
All of our prints are printed on high quality, 100% recycled card.
We recycle, conserve energy wherever we can throughout production & try to minimise our waste output & our plastic usage.
We remain committed to continue finding ways to make changes to further reduce our footprint, so watch this space for more updates!
